National Hydrogen Study

The National Hydrogen Study was commissioned on behalf of the Australian Government by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources. It assesses the role of hydrogen in the energy system and makes recommendations that would lay the foundations for Australia's participation in a future hydrogen economy.

Hydrogen energy is attracting considerable attention from industry, researchers and policy makers around the world. This study explores issues that are especially relevant to Australia, and presents a significant body of knowledge that will assist in the development an informed view of the importance of hydrogen as an energy carrier.
